Our guide Marika was topnotch and made a huge difference. She was very knowledgeable about the tour topics, beyond the typical non- specialist tour guide but spoke in an easy manner that made it very enjoyable to us. She had "substance" and could get into details when asked, but set the right balance and did not talk too much nor was she too academic (she apparently has a master's degree on a food course). The tasting sessions made the tour even more enjoyable. It helped that the choice of makers to visit for the cheese, parma hams etc and balsamic vinegar tours were excellent - high quality products and "traditional" processes to view. We especially enjoyed our time with the Picci balsamic vinegar owner who obviously had passion and pride for his product and craft. Transportation was good and comfortable. Easy to book. Operators quick to respond. Tour highly recommended

That would be easier to depart from the station but it’ s very easy to find( but it was raining). Booking was done by the tourist office( train ticket included/ though it was not mentioned that the paper which was given was not valid to travel.( sms never recieved to get the scan. A problem with trenitalia)I would recommend this trip to our French/ Italian association as the visits were very interesting and the guide wonderful and passionate, passionating!
