We enjoyed the full day tasting in Parma. The light lunch that was included was a full meal to us that was very delicious. We knew we were at the right place when we saw the Tastybus parked by the meeting point. The walk from the train station was as short as Google maps said it was. We were glad to get the early bird special on the Maestro website and save some more money.

We chose the tastybus for one day tour in Parma. It was so nice, Monica was always enthusiastic during the travel. She explained in easy words so it was nice to understand although we did not have any background regarding the gourmet in Parma. Also, since moving one to another by bus, it was easy to deal with under the hot weather. If I visit Parma once again, I will definitely choose this tastybus.

The tour overall was excellent with the exception to the visit to the Parmesan factory which was a little disappointing mainly due to the shape of the processing area of the factory. Not all the tour members could hear or see. Either a different factory or smaller groups would solve this issue.
Both the Parma ham factory and the Balsamic vinegar factory were excellent and the tour guide had a very good knowledge of processes as well as a good relationship with the factory owners/workers.
The booking process was seamless and the tour is highly recommended.

Lunch was so lovely- all home cooking, hand made pasta, I just wish I didn’t eat that many Pama cheeses & prosciuttos before lunch

As that day was rainy and had a car-racing event, and there was a little traffic problem, our guide got down from our bus to solve it in the heavy rain without an umbrella! Respect!!

Andrea gave my husband, three-year-old granddaughter and I a fun, enjoyable and informative morning touring a small parmesan making establishment and a prosciutto factory. His warm, professional and very knowledgeable presentations in perfect English were wonderful. We enjoyed the drive between tours in our nice, clean comfortable van. It was fun to see a bit of beautiful Italian countryside also. I'm so glad we took this tour. It was the right choice. A high -quality experience in every way. Oh, and the food samples were delicious!

It wa a great experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the processes used in the factories that we visited. This wasn’t about commercial manufacturing of the products but hands on as it has been done for hundreds of years. It was a day out in some beautiful countryside of Italy

The Tasty Bus was an awesome experience. Our guide provided a great explanation of the parmigiana cheese and Parma ham and balsamic vinegar production. The tour included tastings at each production visit and a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. The entire day with Tastybus was terrific. This experience was a full day of fun, information and great tastings. I definitely recommend a visit to Parma to take the Tastybus.

Yes, Parma is a good city and many tasty foods are produced here. Besides the foods, the landscape is also fantastic. It would be good to plan to stay for more days.

I really enjoyed this tour and great to see family businesses still keeping traditions alive. The lunch in the Osteria was very nice and overall thought the tour was good value.

I would highly recommend this you! There were only four of us plus the guide (who was actually the owner) so we rode in her car instead! She spoke in English to us and Italian to the other two guests.
She took us to the Parmagiano-Regiano cheese factory in the countryside and told us all about farming practices. Then she showed us through the small farm cheese production rooms and finally the cheese ‘vault’ where the farm owner opened a wheel of cheese right off the shelf, letting us taste it! Finally we sampled cheeses of different ages with wine or water.
Next was the Parma ham factory - again- small farm in the country. No pigs here (which I was not wanting to see!) because they just process the meat. Pretty interesting to learn how they cure the hams. Then a deliciously set table in a tasting room sampling different hams, again with wine to balance it out!
Next our guide dropped us at a very local restaurant for lunch while she returned the other two guests since they were a half day tour. Lunch was amazing, and though neither of us spoke Italian, the restaurant owner took amazing care of us! Lunch was fantastic!
Finally, our guide returned and took us to our final stop, the balsamic acetaia. This was a small plantation house that is transformed into a facility to make and store balsamic. Our guide explained the whole process and showed us the different steps and barrels used to store it as it ages. She allowed us to taste and smell from the barrels, and we finished the tour with a sampling presented by the owner. A delightful dessert was a delicious surprise, too!
Finally, our guide returned us to our parking garage (instead of the starting point which was a bit of a walk). I don’t feel like we took a bus tour! I feel like a local friend drove us through the countryside!! I highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Tastybus!

The Tasty bus was a great experience! You have to do it. We took the half day tour and it was awesome. Elise was our guide for the day and she was extremely knowledgeable of the area and the processes at both the factories. It’s a must do if you’re going to be in Parma.

The experience was great and we highly recommend this tour! We think the half day tour is plenty and it's very educational and fun! The only problem we had was parking so they could probably do a little better recommending a place to park near the meeting place for the bus.
Our tour guide was wonderful and there is a tasting at the end of each tour which was awesome!

Very informative and interesting tour! Highly recommended if you travel in this part of Italy. Difficult or impossible to visit the factories that produce Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano-Reggiano on your own.

This was a high light of our 3 week vacation in Italy. It was so interesting to learn and taste. Not to many people for a group so we didn’t feel over crowded. The fact that the tour was done by bus and not with our own car, at a reasonable rate was even better. We did this tour with our 12 and 14 year old and even they were fascinated. The lunch was in a cute restaurant on our route and it was delicious. If you can continue on and do the vinegar part of the tour, be prepared to be driving for a little bit after lunch. The vinegar part of the tour isn’t as fascinating but it was cool to see which barrel it starts in, to the tiny barrel it ends in after 25 yrs. oh, and the tasting here is really yummy.
Its a tour totally worth taking. I highly recommend you take the plunge and go do this tour. It’s something you’ll remember for a lifetime.
